About Me

Shameless Self Promotion, Ego Running Wild, or Genuine Desire to Do Good?

Entrepreneur, global networker, connector, and wordsmith, Bridget Greenwood is a master at relating to people, motivating, communicating, and people-focused leadership.  A former International Swimmer, Bridget spent 4 years as a successful Independent Financial Adviser before becoming a Social Media Specialist.

Bridget has spent the last few years immersed in the new media that social platforms have created, developing leading strategies within Social Media to extend reach, influence and connections, bringing business, clients and prospects together.  The result, she was invited into partnership with a Social Media Consultancy firm and is continually brought in for professional training for enterprises by a local authority.

With an enormous appetite for learning in business and personal development Bridget shares her discoveries and experiences with you here in this blog, and will call on a few experts in their field to share their wisdom too.  Enjoy, and let her know if you’d like a topic covered.

More about Bridget….

Bridget’s early life was that of an army brat following her father round the UK, Europe & Asia.  After leaving the army the family continued to move a lot, including a stint in Cork, Eire until finally making their first long term home in Aberdeen when Bridget was eleven.

A keen swimmer she spent much of her teenage years braving 5am starts in the freezing tundra of North Scotland schlepping her way to school pools miles away to trundle untold lengths.

Being somewhat of a girly swot, she was not only good at school, but excelled in sport competing on the International scene which led her to undertake a degree in Sport Science at Loughborough Uni. At which point the girly swot discovered her fondness for networking and connecting.

Completing her degree by the time she was 20, with a bit of swanning off on a round-the-world tour in between (that she won in a 50p raffle), soon reinforced the feeling that the world of sport science could frankly do without her.

Her early career saw a complete change as she entered the world of business and manufacturing for the first time, starting as a filing clerk and quickly establishing herself as part of an integral team the directors relied on, turning a failing business into the most profitable one in the entire group.  It was here under the guidance of her first mentor that she learnt invaluable business skills.

More career doors opened and over the intervening years she became a leading Independent Financial Advisor in the Education Sector, across East Anglia.  Absolutely loving the job, what better than meeting new people, finding out all about them and helping them achieve their dreams?

Following the birth of a her son, Bridget looked for a change in career to find something where the hours better suited the new role of a lone parent (living rurally).

On a return flight from Egypt she met a couple that introduced her to Arbonne International. Feeling that she had found an incredibly upbeat, positive and influential tribe she travelled to the world convention in Las Vegas to finally find her entrepreneurial home.

Through her continuous personal development she gained further confidence, ability and influence and realised that the area that truly inspired her was championing other people to fulfil their business dreams, dodge those unnecessary obstacles and have the success they want.  Dream it, believe it, achieve it.

A natural networker and connector, in the past year the newly invigorated Bridge, opened the Norfolk branch of the Business Woman’s Network.  She’s made strong business links with the likes of Richard Denny, Gerald Ratner, Sharon Wright & many more, has also co-founded the Goto Girls – a company helping business get the most from social media. All while living in a part of North Norfolk so remote the government routinely forgets it even exists.

Other less useful, but nonetheless entertaining skills include her ability to on occasion dine with former MP’s, travel on a whim to dates in Dubai, or being charged by hippos on the Zambezi.

Outside of work, when not taking care of the man in her life – the 7 year-old ball of kinetic energy also known as her son Zach, she spends her spare time travelling, learning, and that all important networking and connecting.

She giggles a lot, but don’t hold it against her.
